Pelham celebrated its 250th Anniversary in 1996. Community spirit is strong here and the annual Old Home Days event attracts thousands of people in September. Residents can become involved with many local community groups including the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Masonic Temple, St Patrick's Woman's Guild, Friends of the Library, and many more.

One of the areas were Pelham's new progressive attitude is evident is in education. The town has recently built a state of the art elementary school for local students and a major new renovation and addition to Pelham High school is underway. These improvements to the school system to make the community more appealing to potential home-buyers.

Route 38 is the major shopping are is town with a wide variety of shopping available. There is a Hannaford super market and a number of national drug chains, banks and other retail establishments. For great fun there is  "Chunky's" cinema and pub where you can watch you favorite movie while enjoying the 1950's atmosphere and great food.

There is a wide variety of home styles available in town. There is older more affordable homes and then there is also a large number of upscale new homes being built in the many subdivisions that dot the countryside. Pelham's rolling hills provide for some spectacular local scenery. You'll never grow tired of driving along the scenic roads.

Waterfront living can be found along the shores of Little Island Pond.
